Mobile-friendly Websites

I build mobile-frendly websites.  These are shortened versions of the main website.

Research has shown that surfers on mobile phones want the following critical information on businesses:

  • opening hours
  • phone number
  • location

Whilst you can have more pages, for most businesses, 5 or 6 pages will be sufficient on your mobile site.

But why do you need a mobile-friendly site?  The reason can be very simply illustrated – here is my site viewed on a mobile phone BEFORE and AFTER I built a mobile friendly site:

Before

After

You need a mobile site that can be viewed easily on a mobile phone and that offers up the critical information your prospects require in order to contact or locate your business.

As it stands, 1 in 5 local searches conducted in Google is now a user on a mobile phone – this number is only going to get bigger and bigger over the next 1-2 years. That means roughly 20% of traffic to a local business website is going to be someone on a mobile device. If you don’t serve a mobile optimised version of your website to those users then you risk losing them to your competitors.

If people can’t easily find the information they need, they will not stick around. You will lose that customer for good. A mobile site simply means that you increase the chances that your prospects will do business with you.

We charge a very modest fee for a 5 or 6 page site – this offers exceptional value for those businesses who would like to be found by the increasing numbers of people who are using their smart phones to source products and services.
