Accelerate your growth with the 4 ways to grow your business

Shortly before I left banking in 2001, one of my accountant customers showed me a video that had been produced by a consulting business called Ran One.

It spoke about the 4 Ways To Grow Your Business - from that moment onwards I was hooked – I knew I had to find out whether I could implement the simple formula that they demonstrated.

In simple terms, the 4 ways to grow your business are:

  • increase the number of customers of the type you want to have
  • increase the number of times they come back
  • increase the average value of each sale
  • increase the effectiveness of each process in the business

Whilst implementing any one of these ways to grow your business is helpful to your growth, it is only when you get them all working for you at once do you get ‘exponential’ growth.  In other words 2+2+2 does not equal 6 but a multiple.

Of course, the formula is simple but to make it work required some marketing skills that I simply did not have.  For the last 8 years, I have been on a quest to make that simple formula work and I have successfully implemented it in a number of clients businesses.

As soon as I could implement the tactics offline, I then became driven by a quest to implement the skills online too.

In fact I would say that having the skills to implement the 4 Ways To Grow Your Business on the internet is becoming more and more important because it enables you to market cost effectively to a defined niche without being solely dependant on the local marketplace.

Knowing this formula should be mandatory for any business person.  Knowing how to implement makes a person powerful because it gives you the power to grow any business fast – certainly a lot faster than someone that doesn’t understand it.

I am sorry to say that I worked with businesses for 25 years before I was taught the 4 ways to grow your business formula.  That is a criminal oversight on the part of the education I received whilst I was in banking because I could have helped thousands of other businesses to make more sales and profit whilst I was in banking i.e. to add a lot more value to our relationship.

So it has taken me 8 years to first learn and then hone my marketing skills.  Everything I have learnt can fit around the 4 ways to grow your business formula.

To illustrate just how powerful this formula is, I have produced a short video to show how, using the 4 ways to grow your business formula, I can double a businesses profitability by making some relatively small changes in a few critical areas.
