In simple terms, there are just 4 ways to grow a business. These are:
- Increase the number of customers of the type you want to have
- Increase the number of times customers come back
- Increase the average value of each sale
- increase the effectiveness of each process in the business
Whilst these four factors give you critical focus points for your business, when combined together, they also give you massive leverage.
This is illustrated by the example below which demonstrates how just a 5% improvement in 4 key areas of your business can double your profits, notwithstanding a 10% rise in overheads:
Can you improve your business by just 5% in 4 key areas? Of course you can and probably by a lot more!
